Owl Club is an English-language academy in Latvia. We redesigned their website in WordPress with a custom template, clear navigation for students, and a structure built to help their courses rank in search engines. The website is still live in production.
The challenge: an unclear website for prospective students
A language academy depends on prospective students quickly finding what they need: which courses are available, for what level, and how to sign up. Owl Club's previous website didn't offer that journey with the clarity an educational centre needs.
What we did
- Custom design in WordPress. A bespoke template, not a generic one, matched to the academy's identity.
- UX and responsive design. Smooth navigation across all devices, built so a student can find their course with no friction.
- SEO optimisation. Structure and metadata organised to improve the courses' search visibility.
- Clear, accessible interface. Focused on the academy's students, not a generic template design.
Results
| Before | After |
|---|---|
| Generic design, not student-focused | Custom template centred on the student experience |
| Poorly adapted to mobile | Responsive navigation across all devices |
| Limited search visibility | SEO structure organised by course and level |

Frequently asked questions about this case
Why does web design matter for a language academy?
Because the visitor needs to understand in seconds which courses are available, for what level, and how to sign up. If that information isn't clear, the student is lost before they even reach out.
Do you work with clients outside Spain?
Yes, Owl Club is based in Latvia. The design and development process is the same regardless of where the client is located.
Does the website include SEO as well as design?
Yes, the structure and metadata are organised as part of the design so the courses are visible in search engines, not added as an afterthought.
